Angry Birds Space

Earlier this month Rovio Entertainment announced it would be launching another Angry Birds game on March 22nd. In an effort to build hype and advertise the launch of their new game Rovio went over the top by partnering with NASA (yes you read that right -NASA!) to broadcast the release of Angry Birds Space to a global audience.

But That's Not The Craziest Part
In partnering with T-Mobile they made Guerrilla Marketing history by strapping an oversized Angry Bird, on a 300ft tall slingshot, to the side of Seattle's world famous Space Needle. Fan's were even invited to the top of the space needle for the day to play the new game which features brand new physics-based action. Now that they're in space not only to players have to worry about those pesky pigs but also asteroid, moons, and planets that will mess with your head.
Why Did T-Mobile partner in this promotion?
T-Mobile's new device ,the Samsung Exhibit II 4G, will have clues that will provide access to a portal inside the T-Mobile app. From within this portal, Fans will be able to download the app, find hint to 'golden eggsteroid' levels, and other exclusive content.
